Interesting news today on some upcoming retrofits for the Empire State Building that are projected to cut energy usage by as much as 38%. Expected to be completed in 2013, the $100 million project will serve as a model for other commercial buildings in NYC and around the world. One of the upgrades even includes an Internet-based system for tenants to monitor their energy use and show them how to conserve.
