AAAS is hosting its annual Science and Technology Policy Conference April 30th and May 1st in Washington, D.C. (http://www.aaas.org/spp/rd/forum.htm) This year's program will focus on the new R&D budget and policies, with the keynote address being delivered by John P. Holdren, Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, and Assistant to the President for Science and Technology.
NUSPAN is offering $400 in travel funds to a student who would like to attend. To apply, simply send us your name, department, and year in grad school along with a brief explanation (keep it less than a page) about why you want to attend this conference and send to nuspan@gmail.com. To allow plenty of time for travel arrangments, applications are due by this Friday, April 3rd. The grad school will not be throwing around free money like this forever, so take advantage of this opportunity before their endowment shrinks another 20%.
