Miami Poised to Get Smart Grid

Earlier today it was announced that GE and Cisco have teamed up for a proposed $200 million smart grid to be installed in Miami-Dade County. The upgrade, expected to be completed in 2011, is hoping to take advantage of federal economic-stimulus dollars. It looks like Cisco is even planning to add some real-time tracking for homeowners.
